SFT Returns to Lake Garda for Year Two with Foiling Week
The Surf Foil World Tour heads back to the legendary waters of Lake Garda for the second consecutive year as the SFT World Cup Lake Garda once again joins forces with Foiling Week.
Set against the dramatic mountain backdrop and crystal-clear waters of northern Italy, Lake Garda has long been one of Europe’s most iconic wind and watersports destinations, famous for its reliable thermal winds, glassy morning conditions, and vibrant foiling culture.
The 2026 event will feature competition across multiple SFT disciplines, including pump foil, e-Foil at Spiaggia Paina, Malcesine, and downwind foil, including the rapidly growing parawing discipline at Fraglia Vela Malcesine.
From endurance-focused downwind runs across the lake to technical pump foil racing and high-speed e-foil battles, the event brings together athletes from around the world for a week of progression, competition, and community.
Returning as part of Foiling Week’s 14th Italian edition, the collaboration continues to strengthen the connection between foiling boards, boats, athletes, designers, brands, and fans all gathered in one place.
Lake Garda offers a unique blend of conditions perfectly suited for foiling. Calm morning water creates ideal race surfaces for pump and e-foil disciplines, while the afternoon thermal winds open the door for dynamic downwind and parawing action. Combined with lakeside villages, Italian food culture, and a passionate international watersports community, the event delivers far more than competition — it’s a full foiling experience.
